Take a look at this new idea that Jeff Han from NYU has developed. I read the research paper and it is pretty amazing technology. The crazy thing is that it really isn’t very complicated. Some infrared LEDs, Plexiglas and a camera sum up the entire installation.
I believe that this technology will change the entire way that humans interact with computers. Can you imagine having a desktop (a real physical desktop) that is entirely a computer “screen”? So many “Star Trek” applications become so real. These are the things that revolutionize the world.
Jeff has created a startup company called Perceptive Pixel - I want some stock in that when it goes public!
