I was driving back to school from home the other day when I noticed something I hadn’t noticed before. I came to an intersection where two churches sit right across from each other. Although this time, it was different. One of the churches had a sign hanging off of it that said, “Corner Bingo.” My heart sank, because I knew right away that the church had died and had to sell its building.
Why, if we share the same vision, do we fight so much about the same vision and cause division? Imagine if these two churches had joined together with a heart for the community that they were in? Imagine if they had combined their resources, staff, and energies with the sole heartbeat of outreach? BINGO!

The sad thing is that one of those churches housed a Black congregation; the other white. I wonder if any of the members ever hollered across the road to say, “Hi there!! Peace and blessings to you. Great to serve the same Lord!!” Pretty sad
