… continuing Simplify Your Life Week

I was telling my friend Zach today at work, I couldn’t decide whether or not to go on a road trip to Dallas to see my friend Jack and some others, or to stay in town and get some things done. The conflict was - Responsibility vs. Rockin’ Good Time - I guess you could say.

Responsibility: I need to be in Oklahoma City - I have a job, at least three meetings, and a laundry list of things to get completed.

Reward: Going to Texas to see one of my really good friends and a lot of others, sleeping in, doing nothing and just completely hanging out and staying up ridiculously late and getting up just as late.

Its actually a pretty complicated decision for someone like me - but I decided, in the Spirit of Simplifying my life, I could use a real vacation away from some things, and am currently in Texas at my buddies house - my laundry list can wait, its summer!

How to simplify your life today? Pick up the phone and call an old friend and just have a relaxed day laughing at things you used to do. Go on a random road trip somewhere, doesn’t have to be far - just getting in the car and becoming best friends with the road and your iPod. Relax - come on - its Simplify Your Life Week!
