There is no excuse for poor people in America

Posted July 31st @ 11:42 am by Jeff Riles

Why I am still a John Edwards supporter! Granted there are lots of important issues in this election, but when will begin to focus on people?
When will we focus on the real hurt, and the real pain in America?

(edit) Check out this blog from the NYTimes - that my friend Najah showed me.

Only the best for Education

Posted July 29th @ 10:28 pm by Zach Gilliam

I’m taking an online August intersession class at OCCC and so I decided to get a jump start on it today…I’m turning over a new leaf this semester…
Anyway, it is a required computer class for my business major and it is going to be a breeze. How do I know?
I was reading through some of […]

Facebook: The Verb

Posted July 28th @ 2:58 pm by Zach Gilliam

Just read an entry by Scoble where he casually mentions that “Facebook is the new business card” and I couldn’t help but think of how true that statement is.
I’ve been using Facebook for about 3 years - I signed up the day that Facebook opened it up to the University of Oklahoma. Networking and connecting […]

Life Transition #3 - Mi Familia

Posted July 26th @ 8:53 am by Jeff Riles

Do you remember when you graduated High School and you got to get away from your parents? It was absolutely amazing!
Why were we so anxious to get away from them? Well for starters, they always annoyed me with these responsibility speeches, constantly complained about he way you were doing things, and always compared you to […]

Posted July 25th @ 10:55 pm by Zach Gilliam

It has been a while since the last youtube wednesday, I know - life has been a little (ok, a lot) crazy lately.
Jeff was singing this earlier today and got it stuck in my head, so I thought I would share.

Life Transition #2 - The Future

Posted July 25th @ 9:22 am by Jeff Riles

Do you remember those career days back in elementary school?
Do you remember taking those absolutely retarded aptitude tests in High School?
How do you really measure what you are passionate about?
Currently I study political science at Oklahoma City University. And trust me, I love it. The next major step for someone who studies these things is […]

Interactive Debates: My Reaction

Posted July 24th @ 11:51 pm by Zach Gilliam

While I was sitting watching the CNN/YouTube debates, I could not help but believe that this was one of the defining moments of presidential debate history - ranking right up there with the first televised debates of 1960. The shear fact that it was ordinary people asking real questions to the candidates was astounding.
I could […]

Life Transition #1 - Best Friend

Posted July 24th @ 9:17 am by Jeff Riles

My dad always called these weird times, or growing times in my life: “Life Transitions.”
This week, I’ll dedicate some of my posts to some major areas I think are changing in my life. Some may seem minute and obscure, and others might seem incredibly huge.
I feel like I’m going through a major one right now.
The […]

Chapter Success

Posted July 18th @ 3:06 pm by Jeff Riles

So I told you I would blog about my fraternity’s success in Miami. I lied.
Our Public Relations chair, Mike Jones, has been working on a press release, and I got to see version 1 - I figured it could od most of the talking!
(Insert Press Release)
Theta-Psi Chapter Receives Founders Award of Chapter Excellence (FACE):

Back from Miami

Posted July 17th @ 2:41 pm by Jeff Riles

so after waking up early in my bed in paradise (my hotel) way too early (I was actually late for our meeting time) …
getting on an Airport shuttle with a cool guy named Mario…
fighting through all of the newsworthy craziness at Miami International Airport…
making it to the gate three minutes before boarding time …
flying to […]
