iPhone: Eating my words?

Posted June 26th @ 11:33 pm by Zach Gilliam

So, it looks like Apple is going to make me eat my words about the iPhone. (This is one of those times when I am actually completely fine with being wrong!)
Mary Jo Foley at ZD Net (and several others) has reported that the iPhone will support server ActiveSync, allowing it to sync with Microsoft Exchange […]

The Onion’s take on the iPhone

Posted June 23rd @ 1:43 am by Zach Gilliam

The Onion did a pretty funny parody of some iPhone specs. Check it out.

I think this helps summarize the iPhone hype. We will see if it lives up to the 90% positive hype. I’m gonna call it now, I don’t think it will. WHOA! Yes, I know it is blasphemous, but I think that the […]

Apple Keynote

Posted June 11th @ 2:13 pm by Zach Gilliam

So……the much anticipated WWDC keynote didn’t really bring much un-announced innovation this year. Yes, I a mac-fanboy and I love Apple, but I have to say that I was left dissapointed.
But, nonetheless, here are the major highlights that I find interesting (of course, with my commentary! ).

More games for OSX

“Yep, that’s nice.”

If you aren’t using Google Reader, you should be. It is the coolest feed aggregator that I have found. You subscribe to RSS feeds from blogs or sites and have it all displayed in one place. As a matter of fact, you can subscribe to my “shared” feed here.
But, I wasn’t a huge fan of […]

It was bound to happen…

It seems that the virtual world of Second Life has made its first case to the “Real Life” courts of the U.S.
Evidently Linden Labs (creators of Second Life) have been sued by someone who purchased land in the virtual world. Remember, the money (lindens) that is used in Second Life is very real. (You can […]

Tonight: NBC Nightly News

Posted May 21st @ 9:52 am by Zach Gilliam

A project that my team at LifeChurch.tv has been working on is being featured on the NBC Nightly News this evening (pending any “breaking news” that pushes it out of the way) at 5:30pm CDT. The project is our campus in Second Life that we launched this past Easter. None of us have seen the […]

To steal a good idea from terrystorch.com, here is youtube wednesday for this week! This clip combines two of my favorites in this world, Apple Computers and politics. Enjoy!

Very Perceptive Pixels

Posted March 16th @ 2:10 pm by Zach Gilliam

Take a look at this new idea that Jeff Han from NYU has developed. I read the research paper and it is pretty amazing technology. The crazy thing is that it really isn’t very complicated. Some infrared LEDs, Plexiglas and a camera sum up the entire installation.

I believe that this technology will change the entire […]
